Database of planned European battery cell factories (Gigafactories)

In recent years, numerous new Gigacatories have been announced in Europe. The capacity of these battery cell factories starts from 1 GWh per year (per definition) and can easily go up to more than 10 GWh.

In recent years, numerous new Gigacatories have been announced in Europe. The capacity of these battery cell factories starts from 1 GWh per year (per definition) and can easily go up to more than 10 GWh.

The planned Gigafactories are announced by large South Korean and Chinese cell manufacturers such as LG Chem, Samsung SDI, SK Innovation, and CATL. In addition, many battery cell factories in Europe are also planned by new players such as Northvolt and Verkor.
